the silent world...
28 March 2012
the past few weeks have been chaos busy! hence my silence here on le grande ole blog(e). however, the 'silent world' that i'm referring to isn't, in fact, this blog but a book I recently read, which I would highly recommend. The Silent World was written by Jacques Cousteau in the fifties, and although I have barely even ventured into the deep blue, it made for an absolutely enthralling read. the observations of Cousteau and his diving compadres are recorded as experiential - some of the first of their kind - and the trial-and-error adventures in the book read like a novel, explained well enough to be understood by landlubbers alike.
